The PBWC welcomes all women to join our organization regardless of age, color, race or religion. Dues of $45.00 are paid annually in March and members are encouraged to support club activities during the year. Many of our members are retired teaches, professional women, homemakers, mothers and grandmothers. In many cases, we have several generations of families involved in the club.
Potential members are invited to attend a meeting and complete an application at that time. Our meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm and they usually are over by 9:00 pm. We meet at Hornblend Hall, 1721 Hornblend Street in Pacific Beach. The meeting consists of a short business meeting, often a speaker to educate our members on some topic of interest and a social gathering where members can visit with each other.
Our meeting year starts in September with a potluck brunch on the second Saturday of the month and ends in June with and end of year wrap up brunch the first Saturday in June. During the summer there are no monthly meetings but members often get together to play Bunco or have a Ladies Dine – Out at a local Pacific Beach Restaurant.
